International Field Service Engineer

You are an engineer who loves to work with machinery for the wheel making industry and you like to see (even) more of the world. You like working in a small team with international clients because this gives you the opportunity to learn and to grow. At Fontijne Holland in Vlaardingen near Rotterdam we have an interesting open position for you!
As a Field Service Engineer you will first learn all inns and outs of the machines by helping assemble them in the factory in Vlaardingen (near Rotterdam). When a machine is finished it will be fully tested in our factory and the client will be present for an acceptance. The machine will be disassembled after the acceptance, shipped and assembled again on the location of the client. This could take a couple of weeks, staying away from home is not an issue for you. 

Specifically:

  • You work with a local technicians during the assembly and commissioning and you train them in operating and maintaining of the machines.
  • You find solutions on the spot for all kinds of challenges you meet during the installation with the help of engineers at the office or local parties.
  • You service and troubleshoot on already installed machines.

Your profile:

It is not only your experience and skills; your personal profile is just as important to us. We are looking for a self-starting and experienced professional who loves to work independently or in a small team in an international environment. You have a practical and flexible working attitude with a ‘can do mentality’. 

  • An education within the field of mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a mechanic, engineer, maintenance engineer, field service engineer or equivalent in machine building or industrial engineering.
  • You speak and write excellent English and preferably Dutch on conversation level.
  • You have an international driver’s licence and are free to travel worldwide.
  • You live within one hour from our office and already have the legal status to work and live in the Netherlands.
  • It is a permanent position, we are not open for independent contractors or agencies.
